What is Scrip?
Scrip is a powerful, "no-selling" fundraiser that St. Patrick’s School uses to earn money without any cost to you.  Scrip is the primary way we raise money for the school so you do NOT have
to sell wrapping paper, cookie dough, candy, etc.
We raise money by shopping with gift cards for everyday purchases like food, clothing and entertainment.

Here’s how it works:
1) Grocery stores, restaurants and many retailers sell their gift cards to Scrip at a discount
2) St. Pat’s Scrip sells the gift cards to you at face value
3) You redeem the gift cards at your favorite stores or give them as gifts
4) St. Pat’s Scrip earns a small profit on each sale

And it adds up:
Whether the discount is 1% or 20% - it all adds up! Last year Scrip earned $14,000 in profits and it didn’t cost our families a cent! This year our goal is to have ALL St.
Patrick’s School families participate in the program!

If 400 St. Patrick’s families used Scrip gift cards to purchase $200 in groceries
every month, St. Pat’s Scrip would earn a profit of $28,000 on those purchases alone (3% discount used in calculation).  It’s that easy!

Money in your pocket!
30% of the money you raise through Scrip gift card purchases goes back in your pocket at the end of the year.  The only catch is that you must earn at least $50 to qualify.  That's cash money to use for summer fun.  The remaining 70% of money raised is donated to the school and used for administrative costs.

Show me the Money!
Over the last several years over $45,000 has been used for new laptops, media center, technology fund, building fund, music program, the new security system, the new computer lab in the lower level and switches and hubs to support the infrastructure.

For the 2012/2013 school year, all proceeds will go towards the purchase of
technology needs.
